A busy weekend of events for Stockport Tri Club, with our members taking part in Outlaw (Sprint and Half Distance), Knutsford Sprint Tri and Southport Standard Distance Triathlon.
In the Female series, Carolyn Hume drew level at the top of the table with Rebecca McCarthy as she gained a very healthy 236 points, including 86 positional points, in the Southport Event. In the Male Series, Nick Roberts took part in the Saturday Outlaw Sprint Triathlon over in Nottingham and managed to gain 175 points. Paul Cowell and Phil Ramsey achieved excellent times in the Sunday Half Distance, Phil getting his first points on the series list (374 points, including 74 positional points) and Paul Cowell adding a very creditable 370 points, which has meant he is now second in the list.

2025 Race Series Update (23-03-25)
The 2025 Race Series has got off to a start, with a few members joining Gill's March parkrun meetup at Stretford. 50 points for each person who joined that, as parkrun is not competitive, we don't award the competitive points for that.
Then onto the Firefighters Duathlon, with seven of our members entering that (three teams and one individual).
Carolyn Hume leads the female points series, she got more competitive points than her team-mate Karen Wileman, as the fastest female in Carolyn's age category, was not as fast as the fastest female in Karen's age category.
Nick Roberts is the early leader in the male race, as he did both the March parkrun and the Firefighters' race with Charlie Podolanski. Nick Chick and Carl Krystek are next.
We're at a very early stage though, so get entering races to get yer points!
